Servelec Technologies, a market-leading global provider of end-to-end telemetry products and systems is pleased to announce their appointment on Severn Trent’s Framework Agreement for Telemetry Outstations. The framework runs until 2021 through which Severn Trent will replace over 1,200 remote telemetry units with Servelec’s latest WITS-certified Seprol S2000nano and S2000micro devices. The framework has the potential to be extended following the initial four-year period.
The remote telemetry units provide real-time data to Severn Trent’s telemetry eSCADA system, also supplied by Servelec Technologies. The integrated system allows Severn Trent to respond to any issues such as supply interruptions, leakage and mains failures in a timely manner, delivering tangible benefits, streamlining processes and reducing operating costs.
Servelec Technologies has worked with Severn Trent for over 30 years to provide improved data collection, monitoring and control ensuring continuity of supply for their customers and reduced OPEX for the water company.
Julie McAdam, Lead Category Specialist ICA & Telemetry from Severn Trent added:
“We aim to invest efficiently so we can continue to deliver the lowest household water bills in England & Wales and we’re delighted to continue working with Servelec Technologies to help us achieve that. Installing new devices and integrating our systems will mean that we can respond to customer issues much more quickly and will help us to provide the best customer service we can.”
Neil Butler, Managing Director Strategic Partnerships for Servelec Technologies said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity to build on our long standing relationship with Severn Trent and provide them with our latest remote telemetry technology which has a proven track record in the water industry. It demonstrates Severn Trent’s confidence in Servelec Technologies products and our ability to help our customers reduce OPEX through the development of end-to-end data collection, monitoring and optimisation solutions.”
