What are we looking for? 

A Graduate Developer to join our busy team based in Sheffield. 

What will we trust you to do? 

You will be part of the development team working as a graduate engineer and will be responsible for providing software developments, fixes, modifications and other solutions to our customer’s problems. Our software products are based on the Angular / Angular 2 Web framework / C++ and Java. Our in-house software is used to monitor and control key parts of the national infrastructure which includes water, power, utilities and Airports. 

You will be dedicated and prepared to take responsibility for organising your own tasks to ensure delivery of solutions to our customer’s problems. You will work closely with the existing Developers and support teams. You can expect to work on a range of customers systems in various industries and visit our customer’s sites if and when necessary. 

What will help you succeed in this role: 
A degree classification in computing. 

Some knowledge and experience of the following would be beneficial : 
Eclipse, Intellij etc. 

It would be great if you had any of these, but it is not essential: 
An understanding of communications protocols e.g. TCPIP 
Knowledge of database relational concepts e.g. SQL etc. 
Knowledge of NOSQL database concepts e.g. REDIS 
Knowledge of one or more variants of the Linux operating system and scripting languages
